The room was very clean. the modernisation has been done WELL. the shower was great. It worked well. staff were lovely and courteous.

The lack of proper ventilation made the room stuffy. a working refrigerator would have been appreciated, but it wasn't functioning for the first few days. these issues impacted my comfort negatively. And i expect better for what i paid. the broken fridge was a particular annoyance. i informed staff but the issue wasn't addressed , frustrating, we loved the location. but these issues need addressing.

the location was good, especially for visiting calton hill.
the room felt dated and the lack of simple provisions like shampoo was a letdown. getting a drink required asking reception, and i had to sit in the lobby. the tv didn't work well, and there was no phone to contact reception for assistance, this felt inconvenient.
